Rockin' Ron is the guy who transforms the transmitter on West Peak in Meriden into a FLAME THROWIN' FUN TOWER every Saturday night!  Give him a call at 860-242-0103, or send him an e-mail (rockinron@drcfm.com) during All Request Saturday Night and he'll play what you say!

More About Ron:

Rockin' Ron was born in Bangor, Maine.  At the tender age of 1, Ron and his parents relocated to Connecticut, where his Dad landed a job at Pratt & Whitney as an aircraft engine mechanic.  Ron's childhood years were enriched with 50's, 60's and 70's rock and roll from his parents.
On his 5th birthday, Ron got a portable cassette recorder with a microphone.  It was at that time that a DJ was born.  He used the name "Bob Magoo", spinning his 45's and talking up the intros like an old pro

Ron began working at WDRC in August of 1985.  He helped put together WDRC-AM's 25th anniversary celebration of it's format switch to Rock and Roll Top 40 back in 1960, and has been at the station ever since.
In addition to Saturday nights, Ron frequently fills in during vacations.

Occasionally, Rockin' Ron brings his Green Cheek Conure "Poppy" to the station as his co-host.
