Girls' Night Out with Mary Jones!

Debate 2008

The Law Office of Attorney Sam Chester in Avon - Reuniting people and businesses with their lost money for 33 years!The TALK of Connecticut 's Dan Lovallo has joined forces once again with the Yankee Institute for Public Policy in order to promote a discussion on factors driving the ever-increasing costs of public education.

With property taxes continuing to climb, tied to education funding, we ponder a better way of financing education budgets or at least a better way of understanding the process.

To this end, The Yankee Institute for Public Policy and The TALK of Connecticut will host “Debate 2008” in Hearing Room 2C of the Legislative Office Building in downtown Hartford on May 15th.

Dan Lovallo will moderate with the assistance of NBC 30’s Tom Monahan. The debate will air live on The TALK of Connecticut’s four station network and CT-N TV as well.

The debate will feature constituents who represent various facets of legislature and town leaders from large and small communities in Connecticut, all versed on property taxes and/or local education. The panelists include;

  • Rep. Leader Larry Cafero
  • Lee Erdman, Chief Operating Officer from the city of Hartford
  • Mayor Michael Jarjura from Waterbury

The 6th Annual Blow the Whistle on Asthma Walk

The American Lung Association of Connecticut's Sixth Annual Blow the Whistle on Asthma walk Saturday May 17th is an event designed to bring attention to a disease that affects over 22 million Americans.  The walk is being held at Walnut Hill Park in New Britain to raise money to help over 277,000 residents across the state with asthma.  Walk because you can, for those who can't!  Asthma is a deadly disease that is often underestimated by the general public.  It claims the lives of over 14 Americans each day.  Join Dan Lovallo and The Talk of Connecticut as an individual, join a team, or become a "virtual walker" for a family-oriented day of fun, food and friends and help fight asthma!
